In July 2023 I was afforded the opportunity to attend the ChaNorth Residency, a program offered through the arts organization ChaShaMa.  I had an amazing cohort of artists I was able to share this experience with. While there we worked on a farm once a week, doing various chores.  We also went on various field trips, exploring art galleries and museums throughout Upstate New York. We were brought together through food and cooking thanks to one of the artists, who was an amazing chef. We also participated in Upstate Art Weekend and had various studio visits with artists and curators during our time there.

I spent my time at ChaNorth, continuing to work on my ongoing series On Love & Consumption. The series began to evolve into acrylic paintings and sculptural forms, adding a wearable art piece into development as well.

In 2006 Chashama opened the ChaNorth international artist residency in Pine Plains, New York.  The ChaNorth residency offers the opportunity for emerging and mid-career artists to work and live in the Hudson Valley for four weeks. Annually the program hosts 42 artists during six 4-week sessions running from April through November. ChaNorth accepts applications in all creative fields, including but not limited to visual arts, choreography, writing, music composition, and performance.
