Cheers Dickweed was one of the very first paintings rendered from O’Connor’s On Love & Consumption series. This piece depicts an image of O’Connor in performance as Marie Antoinette donning a gas mask, holding up a glass filled with libations, sarcastically cheering on all of the men in her life.
